Kit Kat: Success Story Of The Famous Chocolate Brand

Wafa✨️

The Kit Kat was introduced in August of 1935, by Rowntree's, a candy company based in York, England.

When the product was launched it was called “Rowntree’s Chocolate Crisp”, and was renamed to Kit Kat later.

A shortage of milk during WW II forced Rowntree’s to switch from milk chocolate to dark chocolate in its Kit Kat bars.

In 1957 the slogan “Have a break, have a Kit Kat” was used alongside their TV commercials to promote the bar.

n June 1988, Swiss company Nestlé acquired Kit Kat through purchase of Rowntree's, giving Nestlé a control over the brand.

Kit Kats are sold in more than 100 countries across the globe, with 700 wafer fingers consumed every single second.
