Arunachal Pradesh gets its 1st formal IKS School ‘Nyubu Nyvgam Yerko’
Arunachal Pradesh CM, Pema Khandu and Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs, Kiren Rijiju jointly inaugurated the 1st Indigenous Knowledge System (IKS) School ‘Nyubu Nyvgam Yerko’ at the Rang Village of Seppa in Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh. The IKS School will promote and preserve indigenous knowledge and rich cultural heritage of the state. Donyi Polo Cultural and Charitable Trust has donated the land for the IKS School. The school will be established under the Department of Indigenous Affairs.

AMNS signs MoU with the Government of Odisha to set up Integrated Steel Plant
ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AMNS) has signed an MoU with the Government of Odisha for the establishment of Integrated Steel Plant is Kendrapara district. AMNS intends to invest Rs. 5,000 crores in the proposed steel plant. The agreement was signed between Odisha CM, Naveen Patnaik and Executive Chairman of AMNS, Lakshmi Mittal. The proposed plant will have a production capacity of 12 million tons per year. The investment made by AMNS will be on the lines of the InvestInOdisha campaign.

Odisha government signs agreement with ICRISAT to support PVTGs
Government of Odisha has signed an agreement with International Crops Research Institute for Semi Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Hyderabad for supporting the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) across the 12 districts of Odisha for a period of 3 years. The agreement will be administered by the PVTGs Empowerment and Livelihoods Improvement Programme of Odisha and its implementation will be financially supported by International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)-India. ICRISAT will deal with the capacity building initiatives for the PVTGs dependent on agriculture. This will promote sustainable natural resource management in an integrated manner.
Government of Tripura rolls-out ‘Jagrut Tripura’ digital platform to boost e-governence
Government of Tripura has launched the ‘Jagrut Tripura’ digital platform for boosting e-governance in the state. The platform was launched by Tripura CM, Biplab Kumar Deb. The platform will provide access to various schemes of central as well as the state government being implemented in Tripura. The platform has been integrated with 35 state departments accountable for providing 135 services. The platform has been developed by Jio Group of Companies subsidiary, ‘EasyGov’. Tripura is the 3rd state in India after Bihar and Karnataka and 1st state in North-East India to implement a digital platform for e-governance.
Government of Goa has partnered with IBM for providing free skill training to youth
Government of Goa has partnered with International Business Machines (IBM) India for providing free online courses to the job seekers, entrepreneurs and students of the state. This initiative will benefit around 10,000 youth associated via 10 institutions with the help of SkillBuild Program. Experimental Learning Module and Personalized Coaching will be provided on Information & Communication Technology. The program has already benefited over 1 lakh individuals across India this year.

Karnataka government launches Engineering Research & Development Policy 2021
Karnataka government has launched Engineering Research & Development Policy 2021 that aims at making Karnataka responsible for making 45 % of India’s growth in the engineering sector by 2025. The newly launched policy has potential to provide employment opportunities to 50,000 individuals. The policy has been drafted by the Department of Electronics, IT, Biotechnology and Science and Technology, Karnataka, NASSCOM and Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society. The policy is targeted towards 5 sectors- 1) Aerospace and Defense, Auto 2) Auto components and Electric Vehicles, 3) Biotechnology, Pharma and Medical devices 4) Semiconductors, Telecom 5) Software products.
