Civil Aviation Minister addresses India Aircraft Leasing Summit 2021
Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Hardeep Singh Puri addressed the India Aircraft Leasing Summit held at the Vigyan Bhavan Convention Centre of New Delhi on 26th February, 2021. While addressing the summit, Hardeep Singh Puri said that India will emerge as the 3rd biggest civil aviation market of the world by 2024. The theme of the India Aircraft Summit was ‘Rupee Raftaar’. It was organizedby Ministry of Civil Aviation, International Financial Services Centers Authority (IFSCA), Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).

Union Minister of Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ addressed the inaugural session of the 16th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2021 virtually. The three-day summit is being organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI) in collaboration with Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Ministry of Education. The theme of the summit is ‘Higher Education @ 2030: RISE- Resilience Innovation Sustainability Enterprise’. The FICCI EY Report titled ‘Higher Education in India: 2040’ was also released during the inauguration ceremony.

BioAsia Forum is the largest life sciences and healthcare forum of Asia and the 18th edition of the BioAsia 2021 was held in Hyderabad, Telangana on 22nd and 23rd February. 2nd International Conference on Gender Equality held in Kerala
Kerala hosted the 2nd edition of the International Conference on Gender Equality from 11th to 13th February, 2021 at the Gender Park of Kozhikode. The three-day event was inaugurated by Kerala CM, Pinarayi Vijayan. The event was organized by Gender Park in collaboration with United Nations Women. The theme of the conference was ‘Gender in Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Social Business: The Mediating Role of Empowerment’. It was the first ‘Carbon-Neutral’ event organized by the government of Kerala. 90 renowned speakers from over 20 countries attended the conference.

PM Modi inaugurates 20th World Sustainable Development Summit 2021
PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the 20th edition of World Sustainable Development Summit 2021 virtually on 10th February, 2021. The 3-day long annual summit is the flagship event of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). Apart from TERI, the summit is also supported by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Earth Sciences and Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change. The theme of the WDS 2021 is ‘Redefining our common future: Safe and Secure Environment for all’. Apart from PM Modi, the summit was also attended by Subrahmayam Jaishankar, Union Minister of External Affairs.

Minister of State for Culture & Tourism co-chairs 8th ASEAN-India Tourism Ministers Meeting 2021
Minister of State for Culture & Tourism, Prahlad Singh Patel co-chaired the 8th edition of Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN)-India Tourism Minister Meeting 2021 which was virtually organized by Cambodia. Cambodia’s Minister of Tourism, Dr. Thong Khon co-chaired the meeting as the counterpart of Prahlad Singh Patel. The meeting was a part of the 24th edition of Meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers starting from 2nd to 5th February, 2021. Prahlad Patel underlined the efforts made by India in supplying medical equipments and medicines for eradicating COVID-19.
