Manipur's national animal, Sangai Deer is mostly found in southern part of Loktak Lake in the Keibul Lamjao National Park.

Nilgiri Tahr is a type of ungulate found only in India. It can be distinguished by its short coarse fur and curved horn.

The western ghats in Southern India is the home to Lion Tailed Macaque, its tail almost similar to a lion’s tail.

The Kashmir Stag is a subspecies of Central Asian Red Deer, it is found mainly in the remote parts of Kashmir Valley.

Nilgiri Blue Robin is mostly found in Southern India's Shola forest, it is under threat of extinction due to habitat loss.
