Bolivia has the highest identified Lithium Resources in the world with 20 million tonnes, as per US geological survey data.
Argentina has the second largest Lithium reserve estimated to be closed to 20 million tonnes.
The United States is has 3rd largest lithium reserves with 13 million tonnes according to the US Geological Survey.
The Chile ranks fourth globally, it has 11 million metric tonnes of lithium reserves, it is also 2nd largest producer.
Australia occupies the 5th spot with 7.9 million metric tonnes of lithium reserves according to the available data.
China has 6.8 million tonnes of lithium reserves, which is around 7.9% of the world's total reserves as per 2023 data.
India has recently discovered 5.9 million tonnes of lithium reserves in Jammu and Kashmir and ranks seventh globally.
Germany is estimated to have 3.2 million tonnes of lithium reserves and ranks 8th globally, highest in European region.
