Journey Of Draupadi Murmu To Become President Of India

Born in a small village of Odisha in 1958, Draupadi Murmu became the first tribal and second female President of India.

In 2000, Draupadi Murmu entered into politics by becoming Member of Legislative Assembly on Odisha Government.

Between 2002 to 2004, Droupadi Murmu held the post of Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Minister in Odisha Govt.

On 18 May 2015, Droupadi Murmu was sworn in as the Governor of Jharkhand, becoming the first woman to hold the position.

On 25 July 2022, Droupadi Murmu became 15th President Of India, she is the youngest and first tribal woman to hold the post.
