The Expressway will reduce travel distance between Delhi and Mumbai from exiting 1,424 km to 1,242 km.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the 246-km Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
The new stretch will reduce the travel time from Delhi to Jaipur from earlier 5 hours to around 3 hours.
This is developed at the cost of over Rs.12,150 crore, this is the first completed section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will be the India’s longest expressway with the length of 1,386 km in total.
Expressway will reduce travel time between Delhi and Mumbai from current 24hours to just 12 hours.
The expressway will pass through six states of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will be 8-lane access-controlled greenfield expressway, which can be expanded to 12 lanes.
