Somrita G

Before pursuing a career in acting, Rajinikanth struggled as a carpenter, coolie and bus conductor to make his living.

At the beginning of his acting career he featured anti-hero roles like a rapist, an abusive husband and also a pornographer.

His sci-fi movie, Enthiran was the only Tamil cinema movie to enter into IMDb's top 50 global films in 2010.

He was so inspired by Amitabh Bachchan that he appeared in 11 tamil versions of Amitabh's bollywood hindi movies.

Rajinikanth was recognized as most influential Indian by Forbes India in 2010 and was honoured with Padma Vibushan in 2016.

For the Love of a Man, a movie about Rajinikanth's fanbase had its world premiere at the 71st Venice Film Festival in 2015.
