Russian Railways has 3rd largest route network that runs for over 86,000 kms, it is used by over a billion people annually.
China has the 2nd biggest rail network, with a route length of over 124,000 kms, it carried 2.2 billion people in 2020.
US has a biggest rail network in the world, with operating route length over 250,000 kms, 80% is used for carrying freight.
