In 2009, Swine flu pandemic was caused by a new strain of H1N1 that originated in Mexico, it killed more than 284,000 people.

Since 1980s, over 79 million people have been infected with HIV AIDS virus, estimated 36.3 million have died till 2020.

With its roots in China, The Asian Flu pandemic that had spread in 1957, had claimed more than 1 million lives worldwide.

Between 1918 - 1920, an estimated 50 million people died from the Spanish Flu, it was caused by the H1N1 influenza A virus.

Coronavirus has been the deadliest pandemic of the century with over 57.4 Lakh people died worldwide since the start of 2020.
