In the 90s, youth in India were crazy about Yamaha RX100, the way bike aficionados were mad about Royal Enfield Classic 350.

Bike was designed and developed by Yamaha Motors and distributed by Escorts from 1985 to 1996 in India.

RX100 was a quick accelerating motorcycle and thus it was also quite popular amongst street criminals and bike racers.

The RX 100 had a active anatomy and accelerated like a rocket, appropriately the name abridged rocket.

It had a 98-cc, distinct butt two-stroke air cooled engine, which produced 11 bhp of ability and 10.39 Nm of torque.

Indian cricket's most successful captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, owned a Yamaha RX 135 -- his first bike.

Re-launching the RX 100 will be a big challenge for Yamaha India as the bike was a legend and enjoyed a cult status.

Even a small mistake by the company can completely destroy its legacy, so they are taking a very cautious approach.

The Yamaha RX100, one of the most iconic bikes of the 90s could be back in a new avatar, but only after 2026.
